The MM2H program is a long-term visa scheme that allows foreigners to live in Malaysia with a renewable multiple-entry social visit pass. It is ideal for retirees, expatriates, and investors seeking to settle in Malaysia.
Applicants must be 25 years old and above and meet the financial and medical requirements set by the Malaysian government.
No. All applications must be submitted through a licensed MM2H agent, accredited by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC).
The MM2H visa is typically valid for 5 to 20 years, depending on the selected category, and is renewable upon meeting the requirements.
The MM2H program is divided into four categories:

✔ Special Economic Zone (SEZ/SFZ) – For those settling in designated financial zones
The fixed deposit requirement varies by category:
• Platinum: USD 1,000,000
• Gold: USD 500,000
• Silver: USD 150,000
• SEZ/SFZ (Age 50+): USD 32,000 (property purchase requirement applies)
Yes. 50% of the fixed deposit can be withdrawn for approved purposes like property purchase, healthcare, and children's education.
Yes, MM2H participants can drive in Malaysia. You may use an international driving permit or convert your foreign driving license to a Malaysian driving license (subject to JPJ approval).
MM2H is a social visit visa, and employment is not permitted. However, this is allowed under Platinum category.
Yes. Under platinum, MM2H participants can establish a business in Malaysia. For silver and gold categories, this is not allowed, however additional approvals can be sought if needed.
Yes. MM2H allows you to bring your spouse and children under 21 years old as dependents. Children between 21 and 34 years old must be unmarried and unemployed.
